Kwahaten "Leave Your Love Behind" 5K and 10K

Sat. Feb. 18th at 12 Noon!
Join us for an after Valentine's Day Race at the KwahatenRUNNING "Leave Your Love Behind" 5K & 10K. We will have Medals and prizes for the Overall winners and the 1st place winners in each age division. Ribbons will be given to the second and third place winners in each age division. This race is supporting local High School Cross Country Teams!!!

You will run along the beautiful Ogden Parkway for both the 5K and 10K.

Packet Pick-Up

You can pick up your race day packet Fri. Feb. 17th at Wasatch Therapy Inc. 5349 S Adams Ave. Suite A Ogden, Ut. from 4-6pm. They are located just north of Ogden Regional Hospital in a professional plaza!

You can also pick up your packet on race day from 10:30am to 11:30am at the race location 1701 Park Blvd. Ogden Ut. The Timbermine Restaurant.

The Future Goals of KwahatenRUNNING

As the 2011 MisDirection race approaches, I want to share the future goals of KwahatenRUNNING.  My wife and I started this organization as a way for us to get more involved with our son's running.  Additionally, we watched many races and thought, "We can do that!"  Back in February of 2011 we did! 

Our very first race as race organizers, KwahatenRUNNING Valentine's Teazer, was small yet successful.  That was the first step to our vision of KwahatenRUNNING; challenge participants' spirits with innovative and challenging concepts to racing, while contributing to the enhancement of our community.  It's been a slow and difficult trail, but we're not about to quit!

As 2012 approaches, we look forward to organizing four more events!  We're keeping our February and October races and adding two more; a joint effort with our son who is working on his Eagle Scout project and another event in June.   Details to come...

As Tiffany and I move through this journey of race directing, we hope to continue enhancing the experiences of all participants, sponsors, volunteers and spectators of KwahatenRUNNING events.

This is just the beginning.  Don't Sit On the Sidelines...RUN BY THEM! 

How Are You Running MisDirection?

USATF Sanction

Today we're honored to receive USATF sanction for the 2011 KwahatenRUNNING MisDirection!  Our goal is to provide a unique and great experience for all participants.  Equally, KwahatenRUNNING strives to provide a great return for our sponsors.

2011 KwahatenRunning MisDirection Change of Date

This year's MisDirection has been rescheduled from Sept 24th 2011 to Oct. 29th 2011.   If you've linked to this offical KwahatenRUNNING site from another listing please take note of the date change.   If you are currently registered for Sept 24th, we can either refund the registration fee or just roll over your registration to Oct 29th.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience for this change.  However, we are excited for the arrival of Oct 29th.  Come dressed and ready to run as your best "Steve Prefontaine" or other Halloween character (costumes optional)!

Each course is 7 kilometers; enough with the boring 5K's (just kidding...but not really)! Each course's START location will be slightly modified at the event to ensure equal distances.  All courses will end at the same
FINISH LINE.

Back in the Saddle...er I mean...race flats again!

The 2011 Kwahaten Running MisDirection 7K is scheduled!  Have you ever run a race where you're not sure whether your competition is ahead or behind you?  Come to the Kwahaten Running MisDirection 7K and experience it!  There are 3 (yep I said 3) 7 Kilometer (4.35 miles) courses to choose from!  Each participant will have the freedom to "choose their own adventure".  The event will be at the Business Depot Ogden at 1150 S. Depot Dr., Ogden, UT.  Come for the fun, the challenge, the competition, the suspense, and the unknown.

There are individual or team registrations.  Just 10 to 20 bucks per entry (sign up as a 2 person team and save).

There's also a Kid's K Fawn Run for kids 9 and younger, and a 2 Mile Run / Walk for the less adventurous.
